About

Hi there! We’re Watermelon Media and we’re about content, be it in print or digital.

From social media campaigns and marketing strategy to graphic design and creating digital products, our skill is helping businesses wanting to get their messages out as creatively as possible.

Our social media staff have worked with major brands to help build their online presences and our copywriting staff is composed of professional writers and sub-editors who have worked in the mass media for more than a decade, so you can be assured all work is of a high standard, accurate and on deadline.

After all, there is no point writing like Shakespeare if you don’t get it in on time!

When it comes to graphics and websites, most of our design team and programmers have agency and media backgrounds, which means we can produce high quality work fit for, literally, millions of eyeballs.

Samantha Amjadali (Director)
Samantha Amjadali has worked in the Australian media for more than 15 years, across print, online, television and radio for the country’s biggest media brands, including the Sunday Herald Sun, heraldsun.com.au, The Age and news.com.au, as well as TV channels 9 and 10.

During that time, she has worked in myriad roles, including section editor, news reporter, online editor and videographer as well as in other journalistic and production roles, including Questions Editor on Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Hot Seat.

Samantha is currently the Digital Content Manager (Social Media Manager) and Marketing Manager for Easy Weddings, Australia’s No.1 wedding portal and Victoria’s 2011 Telstra Business Awards Business of the Year.

Her role involves creating content for the company’s digital efforts, from the website and extensive social media offerings (for EW and clients) to developing digital strategy and running Easy Weddings’ blog network.

Samantha owns Watermelon Media, which specialises in helping businesses and corporates improve their digital marketing and social networking strategies, but also their appearances among the public and the media.

Watermelon Media may be small, but it has provided services to some big names, including one of the Internet’s first millionaire entrepreneurs, Monash University and Victoria’s biggest dance school franchise, Dance 101, as well as some of the country’s best-known real estate chains and Australia’s biggest digital accessories brand, Cygnett.

Samantha has a passion for building web brands and properties as well as online software, and loves social media and social networking, which, she says is “about more than just whacking up posts on Facebook and Twitter!”

Samantha runs Australia’s largest wedding Facebook community (http://www.facebook.com/EasyWeddings) – with 21,500+ fans and is in the process of creating several online productivity tools.

Presently, Samantha is studying for her Juris Doctor at Monash University.
